I was on my way to work and saw a couple bumper stickers on the car in front of me.

On was the “Mean People Suck” and then under that was the “F**K Bush” sticker.

I’m going out on a limb and say this person was a liberal. Because only a liberal would be so blatantly ironic.

This is the group that not a year ago was calling for a new tone.

Nice new tone asshat.

I am sick and tired of these types of people that want all others to act differently from how they act and then claim some kind of moral superiority.

So Larry, Yes that Larry Correia, posted this about the occupy movement.

I did see the Salt Lake occupiers and they took up about a quarter of Pioneer park. This park is about one city block. So the whole protest was in a quarter of a block.

Now that’s a movement.

I have to admit that when I was driving by the park I asked myself where the protest was. I had almost driven past before I saw them. Yup a real big movement.

Just like the Tea Party

I also read an article tile (again admittedly did read the article see here)

It talks about the protester that died and the author comments “this was unexpected.”

My question is why is this unexpected?

You have group that is comply dependent on people proving them food and clothing and tents. They are not prepared for cold weather, which here in Utah happens fast. This is also a group without set goals, so why would they be prepared for cold weather.

I’m assuming here that the death was due to the weather, but it fits for other causes too. It was an unprepared person waiting for someone to provide for them.

A child would be another word for such a person, except that I would not allow this kind of behavior from my children.

Peaceful protest

I was reading through this story. I like that the man was able to defend his property with a gun. He didn’t even have to threaten them directly with it. That is an effective tool.

Later in the story it talks about the amount of damage that was done by the protesters. “The city estimated it would cost up to $25,000 to replace broken windows at city buildings.”

So according to another story it says that the occupiers have over 500,000 in the bank. My question is where do the businesses send the bill? The occupiers did the damage, and I don’t care if it’s a small group of them, the movement should have to pay. The bill should be sent and sent until it is paid.

Tell me again why these people shouldn’t be call terrorist?

They are just like a Tea Party aren’t they?

Fast and Furious

So l have been listening to stories about Fast and Furious. You know the program where the ATFE oked the sale of guns to known straw buyers so they could be taken into Mexico, well you might not know depending on were you get your news.

One of the new leftie talking point that this program is just like George Bushs program. I guess they think this will stop critics.

So what they are saying is that Obama is using another one of Bushs policy? This along with gitmo, wars, tax cuts, stimulus and tarp is it fair to call Obama Bushs third term?

Wow, I didn’t thing this blog was still here. I haven’t written here in a few years, because will I was busy. Trying to finish school and raise a family.

So as it is still here I guess I could pontificate here.
I read a head line yesterday, saying “why are the tea partiers patriots and the occupiers terrorists?” I be honest I didn’t read the article; mainly because it was written by someone I have to deal with and don’t want to fully understand their political lean. It would make family parties hard to get though than they already are.
Ok first off I don’t know anyone calling the occupiers terrorists, I have at most heard them called useful idiots. I think they fall in this category. The majority of the occupiers are trying to get a fairer life as they see it, but they are not terrorists.
But going with that meme, there are occupiers on you tube calling for a violent revolution. I have read a tweeting conversation where the occupier was stating that they would have to cut the heads off of a few white kids and the rest would fall in line. This is the same one that stated that they would have to break a few eggs. Now are these examples the whole of the protests? Perhaps not, but please show me where a tea partier called for beheadings? Or called for a French Revolution, a bloody revolution?
That the last count I heard there are something like 800 occupiers that have been arrested, how many Tea Partiers have been arrested?
They are calling for an even playing field, manly what I see is they don’t want to be held responsible for the decisions they have made.
I will just say this; I just graduated with my engineering degree. My tuition when up a year before anyone else, because engineers get good jobs right out of school. I don’t have student loans, because my family sacrificed and when through hell to be free of such loans.
Is it fair for someone that didn’t sacrifice and when in to debt for a philosophy degree to be forgiven of this loan? How is that fair to me? I am just asking because the occupiers seam to be all about themselves.
So back to the original question (one that could only be asked by someone with a liberal slant) No the occupiers are not terrorists but they do not represent the majority of the country. The Tea party does.
O and by the why, why would you go against the section of the country that believes in the second amendment? I feel that a violent revolution by these occupiers would be short.

Bounty on critters

I have to say I am sick of hearing after a robbery or something of that sort, where the victim declined to be one and fought back the police coming out and saying we are in favor of compliance to the robber. Like the one today the SLPD came out and stated we are in favor of compliance because you don’t know the motivation of the robber. You don’t know what they have on board, or what drug may be fueling it.
Ok the robber motivation is that he need or wants money and doesn’t want to work for it and knows that the rick factor in a robbery is low.
My question is why shouldn’t the robber be asking what is this victim, carrying and what will be do to me to stop me? This attitude by the police that the victim should be complaint just embolden the robbers, by verifying that eh risks are low for them.
I would love for the police come out and praise the clerk for defending themselves and stopping the crook. Publicly stating the that no charges will be filled against the clerk and really anyone the fight a robber or critter( borrowed term from the lawdog). This will raise the risk level for the critter and will possibly lower the frequency of the crime.
I keep hearing that there is nothing at work the is worth dying for, so I shouldn’t fight back. Well shouldn’t the critter be thinking this? Shouldn’t it be a larger danger for the critter to attack a law abiding citizen?
I’m for a bounty on any critter with a proven rap sheet and attempt of crime? I know I know this will lead to vigilantly, that is why the penalty for shooting someone not in the act of committing a crime will be treated like the critter shot. So is would be a fine line, but that would put the critters on notice.
Since the law only wants you to go along to be safe, well I don’t feel safe in a world were the critters are emboldened.

Tea Party

So I hope that you went to your local Tea Party. I have to say that I love name calling that comes from the left. They say that the tea parties are stupid and then proceed to blame Bush(their favorite past time). I just wonder if the have really looked at many of the disagreement a lot of the supports of the tea parties have with George Bush. It’s funny how they are really quite childish when someone takes their toys.
Anyway I have been reading the comments on KSL and I find It funny that they are talking about the flat tax and how it will not go through because it would be a tax increase on most people. I say to that no shit. When you have 40% of the people not paying taxes then any kind of tax change where everyone will have to pay taxes, their burden will increase. It’s hard not to increase when you start at zero. It’s kind of like when you have the top 15% (I think it is) paying 50% of the tax burden. Any tax cut will benefit them more. As stated it’s hard to cut zero percent.
Any way it’s time to speak up, conservatives have not had a voice for a long time. Regan was our great president, was he perfect, no but he is a lot better than anything that we have had for some time.
So anyway, speak up if you want your country to survive. America will survive but will not be powerhouse of the world, it would be more like Europe, which is really a second rate power.
I feel you can link that with the socialistic way it is run. anyway go to a Tea Party if you can.

Where is the tolerance?

So I was wondering, I just read an article written by Julie Limbaugh talking about her relationship with her cousin Rush. She apparently is a liberal, but anytime she tells someone her name she receives the ill of the left. She talks about how she had to avoid certain professors or her grade would have been lower because of her uncle, and how she wasn’t able to get a on a new flight after hers was canceled because the ticket agent was ”the biggest democrat “.
I just want to know why do I have to accept and come to the middle when the left will treat someone this badly, just because of her uncle? Where is the tolerance of all people I’m supposed to have, when the left well vilified one of their own because of her uncle?
I’m told often that the republicans will not accept you if you don’t act the way they want, and this is how they act.
I know that not all democrats are this way, but many of the leadership of the party is this way.
So I just ask the one question;
Where is the tolerance?

I do have some respect for her because inspite of everything she will continue to love her cousin.

So I’m listing to Hannity and it funny that he is getting chewed out by a lady because he doesn’t know anyone the make under 30 k a year, and that somehow his opinion about the “common man” and what they are going though is invalid because he is making money now.
So because he is making money now, he can’t understand what people that don’t have as much money are going though ?
So I think that it’s funny coming from someone that probably voted for Obama because he would help the middle class. So tell me how can someone that grew up in Hawaii and attended Harvard and then yes worked in the community but was able to buy a million dollar home can have such a good handle on the struggle of the middle and lower class?
How is it that a conservative that came from no money, but has money now doesn’t know how is like for the middle/lower class, but a democrat that came from no money but has money now can be compassionate to the middle/lower class or a Democrat that came from money can understand the middle/lower class?

So I have to say I am sick of hearing that the American people know about Obama and they wanted the way he would take the country.
Yet the zoggdy pole show that the ones that voted for o was fairly under informed. Manly because they only listed to CNN.
So don’t tell me that every one in America heard about everything or really a small part of O’s life and what is used to make a good judgment and still voted for him.
This was an election where the press decided what we should know and had an agenda. I know that some like Alex for the night side project dismisses that there is a bias, but I really don’t think that you can dismiss a report about the amount and the types of stories about the election unless that is your bias.

No wait that’s a good idea, your goal would be achieved; someone would die and reduce the amount of people on the planet. The bad news; you would probably be the one that would die.

So I have had some random thought about the global warming theories and really I have come to the conclusions that
“if your poor you suck and the environmentalists hate you.”
You know, if you can’t afford a new hybrid, because you are working just to pay you heating bill. Or you are not willing to allow you power bill to go up by 80% just to you can use only wind power. You suck.
So if your not willing to pay that extra $10 for the organic tomatoes because you are not making as much money because you company forwent raises to enact is green plan, just remember.
You suck and the environmentalists hates you.

X96 morning shows

So I know I haven’t’ posted here in a long time. I just have been busier that snot. I just was listing to the radio on the way to work; now I haven’t listened to this program in a while. It’s an alternative music station and I listen to more talk radio now than a music stations.
Anyway, Listing to this station to this morning reminded me why I don’t listen to them anymore, and it would explain my shift to talk radio, since this morning show really dosent’t play much music and they are trying to be a talk show.
They had their lists this morning that they find annoying, and then tell us all. The impression given is that we all should feel this way.
So I listened to one host pontificate about right wing radio host using the term “redistributing the wealth”. Now of course he doesn’t want them to stop because he had a good argument that it wasn’t redistributing the wealth, he just feels that now the redistributing will be in towards middle class and not to the banks or the wealthy. So if you do feel it’s redistribution they why are you mad that they are using the term, because it would give a bad light on it?
I guess I feel that it you are going to agree that is redistribution then you really should complain when someone else uses that term.
But then again they are the ones on the radio and what would I know compared to their great knowledge, and why should I expect any kind of constancy.
Side note - how can it be redistribution when the fitly rich are the ones that pay the majority of the taxes and the new president will try and take more. The middle class or the poor don’t have the kind of money that they seam to think was taken for the big wigs.
Any way, I now remember why I don’t like listening to them; the hypocrisy is enough to make you puke.

Liquor Laws

Doug is talking about the liquor laws again. Now we should look at them again because they are not reasonable, but I wanted to comment on the caller that said we need to redo our laws because we need to come in to the 20th century.
Now I want to know why we should want to do that, I was listing to the new generation WE, and they talk about the horrible stat the union is in and how everything is just so horrible. Now what I see is that the country on a whole is tilting more liberal and as it tips more that way the less strength the country seems to have. Now I know it is just in the last eight year since Mr. Bush was in office, just ask any liberal. Anyway the more the country leans liberal the less strength it has.
If this is the direction we are going, why would we want to join the 20th century? When the strength of America we foundered in so many of the practices that are looked down upon now?
So answer me do we really want to jioint the 10th century?

I was listening to Hannity today and he was taking just Obama caller and there was one that had an good argument that he feels that corporations should pay more and that would help him, becasue he can't pay anymore He also feels that the corporations would have to pay the taxes because the market wouldn’t let them raise the cost of their product to cover the taxes, funny that a liberal would try to use the market to prove his point, anyway so his presumptions that there would be companies that would keep their cost down and that would force the other to the same.
I have to agree with him. Some companies would keep there cost down, they would be foreign companies, the ones not having to pay these higher taxes, mainly china, so the American companies wouldn’t be able to keep up and would have to close down, thus losing America jobs.
So if the consumer doesn’t pay the higher prices the companies would go under.
How is this good for America?

McCain picks a winner

Well I guess I have to say this. I love that McCain choose Sarah Palin. Yes she is unknown and that may or may pay off, at least there aren’t going to be any ads of Rommey bashing McCain.
But this was a great play by McCain. This is a fresh face and fighter from what I got from the speech she gave.
Now I have already heard from people that McCain choose her because he got scared after Obama’s speech, but the way McCain was able to keep this under wraps and not have made up his mind.
He hit this one out of the park.
I was listing to nightside, the night time talk show here, and Ethen was really trying to down play the impact that Palin will play on the race. Acknowledging that Obama can’t play the inexperience card against her, without pointing out his own,( Really that should be thought about more), but of course he was quick to point out that McCain couldn’t use the inexperience either because of her. I would like to point out that she is not running for the top slot, where the experience is really needed. In other words there can be some on the job training(even if it’s just a little) for the VP.
Anyway, it was funny to me that the wind was just taking out of Ethans sails, because he seamed so ready to just talk about Obama’s speech so he could swoon some more, but because of the Palin pick that was the big news. While I have to admit I couldn’t hear the whole show, but what I heard was all about Palin, even the after party.
This had to rub him raw, because normally he uses as much time as he can defending anything Obama and swooning. Of course it just because Obama is black, and this is not racist of course because it smooths white guilt, but will he now say that he won’t vote for McCain/Palin because he is sexist? Just asking.

What if?

So I want to know what would happen if there was a group out there that stated their goal was to harass any group that was donating to or supporting the Democratic Party. What kind of call to shut them down would be made? Would there be endless instigations into that group? Would the press sit by and not do any reporting on this? I would think not!But when there is a group with the stated purpose of doing this do Republicans, Nothing. Not even any coverage. So is there bias in the press. I have said so before, yup The question is why is the media bias towards Democrats? The only reason I can think of is Money. So long as the media gets to tell you how to think they make money and have power. This goes along with the lefts though process because the masses are too stupid to think for themselves and need to be lead by the balls by the elite. A true conservative wants you to get the information for yourself and think. You are in charge of your life.
I know I didn’t quote any source, I will get them posted later, but even if this is hypothetical, what do you think?

Vacation Time

So I was listing to the radio today and the news was that Nancy Pelosi voted to recess congress. It seams the she recess the house so that the republicans can't force a vote on the energy crisis
Now I find this telling. The subject comes up and Pelosi can not avoid it like she has been doing, because it is growing across the country the idea or felling that domestic drilling need to be done, and more people even in her state of California.
So she has said lately that she is trying to save the planet. That is finding but I thought that she was elected to do the will of her electric. I thought the term was public servant. Now she has had some justification in being again drilling because California is against but they are changing their mind, so shouldn't she. Or don’t the people no longer matter once the elected office reaches high enough office?
I think that it is showing the elitist view that Washington has, and this goes for both sides of the isles.
The republicans are jumping on this because it is becoming a defining issue and they have less to lose. So their pushing has not as much clot as it should, but at least they are doing something.
Democrats want us to be greener, regardless of the consequences, so they are not going to do anything to put more oil in the market, and I agree that oil is not the long term, but we need it now because we are so depended on it. Unless you want to see our economy completely collapses.
This may be what they want, thinking that it could be rebuild in their vision.
Of course to rebuild us after a crash it would take the kind of hard work they wouldn't know how to inspire, but I digress.
So any what this should the democratic line, we wont fight about an issue, if we can't ignore it we will run from it?
This is why I can't vote for a democrat, even if I may agree with them at a local level; the national party squashes anything that is not the main line. Which I could not disagree with them more.
Case in point, Joe Lieberman, voted 98% of the time with the party but for the war, because of this they primaries him out, to get ride of him.
Think about that next time you have to fill up; the democrats needed their vacation more than they need to deal with the energy issue, or that it is more important to look good in front of the rest of the world, or maybe look the same as the rest of the world than to deal with the situation.

NPR's take on high prices

SO listing to NPR the other night I was surprised by the gust they had on.
He was talking about how it was a good thing that the prices for everything are going up, because that would mean that everyone’s income would go up. He justifies this by using the example of the cost of living increased that most people get every year. He stated that although everything is going up, it our buying power would not change because our incomes would increase as well.
My response would be to remind him that everyone’s income already was raised about a year ago when congress raised the minimum wage. This affected everyone’s income, not just the ones making minimum wage.
So at that time most people got the adjustment he is referring to, really our buying power is going to decrease for a while. Of course that’s just what I see.
No-one wants to talk about the effect of raising the minimum wage.
I saw the effect of it because I work currently for minimum wage and tips, but it caused the price change to our pizzas, because the stores labor costs when up.
O well I guess because it make the liberal feel better that they raised the wage fro millions of Americas, they don’t really care affect it has. Then NPR will defend it.

Is Michelle really proud?

So on the way home tonight I was listing to the radio and the topic was about Michelle Obama and Cindy McCain.
The host is a real Obama supporter and I don’t think that there is anything the Obamas’ could do that he would not excuse.
Anyway he was talking about he comment that Michelle had said about her not being really proud about America and was giving the excuses for it, and ho Cindy doesn’t have a right to say anything about it because she had a different experience than a black person would have had growing up.
His basic premise is that because there are black people that experienced the racism against them that a black person could have ill feeling.
Ok to be fair I’m not saying that everyone should be forced to have great feelings, but if you have hard feeling towards that country why are you supporting you husband in running for the top job. I know to make it better. By telling white folk that they really screwed it up and it will take a black man to make it better? That’s really color blind.
Anyway the host keep jumping back to that Michelle was totally justified in having hard feeling toward the us because of it’s racism past.
I just have a few questions.
How long do was have to pay for our racism past?
No one I know or was related to has owned a slave or asked a black man to got to the back of the bus.
If you really are only proud of the country now, why would you run for the top job?
And please don’t try and tell me that Brack is running not Michelle, If he is running, she is running because of how she has put herself in the front lines. I mean how much effort you are going to put into something that you have hard felling about.
I also know that I do share most of the feeling and thoughts of my wife. The ones we truly differed from we have mostly come to common ground, and we have only been married seven years.
One last thing, Cindy may have brought it up in an interview today, but then again so did Michelle on the View. So it’s not just he vast right wing conspiracy talking about it.

Ok I have to say this, I was talking to my mom a few weeks ago. I was frustrated and expressed that I don’t felt that you make your breaks by working hard and that it really is just a matter of being born under the star or in the right place. I have worked longer and harder than most of the people I grew up with and an have not gotten as far as they have.
Well it was proven right, later that week I go to work and one of the other kids get promoted to manager. Now I am a driver, and here I am not required to learn or really do anything else, but I have learned the rest of the jobs and there isn’t anything I can’t do here. The kid that got moved up, really still after about a year had to still be ridden to get his jobs done, and now he struts around and will tell anyone that will listen that he is in charge.
Now he doesn’t ask me a lot of his job, but when there is a problem he expects others to solve them and then it doesn’t get solved.
Yup, show incentive and hoard working and someone else will get promoted beyond you.
This has happened to me several times. I guess there is something wrong with me. I guess I shouldn’t spend so much time learning and doing my job and start kissing more ass.
I just can’t stand the taste.
And nope you can’t come to my pity party.

McCain and Obama

It does seam that Senator Obama is going to get the nomination. There are things that Senator Clinton is going to use to try to use with the super delegates, but that would destroy the party. Now I would love to see this, but it’s not going to happen.
But I just want someone to ask the question of Senator Obama. You say that you will be able to work across the isle and work with republicans. How can you back this up? And while this question is asked, will they point out that Senator McCain has a history of working with Democrats, much to the stress of many Republicans.
So there are many that Senator Obamas lack of experience is a plus, but then how are we to know what kind of leader he is going to be. Well, I would suggest by looking at his friends and business dealings.
Just wondering.

Ok I was wondering about this but had not looked it up to see what had happened. If you have been in Utah in the last few years you have herd of Dell Shansy. Well he is a loud mouth that owned a computer store. He was known for his loud commercials. Well he is apparently running for Salt Lake county mayor. That is not what I want to talk about here.
A few years ago he was in trouble for pulling a gun on some guys that had stopped him in a neighborhood. The story was all over the place and big deal was being made about him pulling his gun. It seams that Dell was speeding through a neighborhood and was stopped by three guys. The event was escalated to a point where Dell pulled his gun. I did hear that the reason he pulled his gun was because one of the guys had a rock that he was threatening Dell with.
The story was covered in detail and a lot of his other antics were pulled out to show what type of guy Dell was.
Now was Dell speeding? Probably. Was Dell’s mouth the reason the situation escalated? Probably yes. Did the three guys have the right to stop Dell, no?
Was he right in pulling his gun? That is the question. There was no coverage of the situation after the original court date.
Talking to my wife when I got home she was telling me that Dell was cleared of the charges because it was deemed that he acted appropriately.
So it appears that a person used a gun leally and in defends of his person. But was there any coverage, nope.

I have been watching the president primaries and am finding the fight among the democrats funny.
The big thing now is that The Clinton Camp is trying to make the delegates in Michigan and Florida count. Of course this is contray to the letter Clinton signed saying that she would abide by the DNC’s rules.
Obama of course is making a big deal about it, but I’m thinking he should just be quite because early in the race he sign an agreement with McCain stating if they won the nomanation they would us just public funds, now I’m not sure what that means completely, but Obama is shying away form this because he has raised so much money that to use only public money would be limiting himself.
So really both candidates will agree to something until it hinders them. Big Surprise

On the other hand I heard one guy on that had called in to Doug Wright stating that the reason Florida moved up their primary was because of the republican sensate moved the primary date and the democrats were forced to move and were being punished because of the republicans in the senate.
Wow, do you thing they could come up with something new besides blaming republicans for everything. I’m just waiting for them to blame Bush for the sinking of the Titanic.

Ok I have to write this, there has been a lot of shooting over the last few weeks. These things are terrible events and each one saddens me.
I have noticed that there is a general trend among the shootings. They are all at gun free zones. They have been on school campuses and in courthouses. The one at the courthouse the gunman went after the cops first, to eliminate any threat to himself. An gun freezone really does a good job of elimitating threats to the shooter.
As usually there is more calls for gun control, even thought the new laws would not have stopped the crimes. I mean how could a gun free zone such as a school be more restrictive to guns?

I have also read posts or editorials that state that the shootings that were stopped by armed citizens were more a chance thing and not a good idea.
Give me a break.
In the case of the trolley square shooting there were several concealed weapon permit holders in the mall with their guns, they did not run out to confront the shooter, but had the shooter come into the store where they were located, the shooter would have meet strong resistance. Still as it was a citizen with a gun that slowed the shooter down and allowed the cops to take him down.
Any way it’s just another attack on the second amendment.
My question is “ Once you do away with the second amendment, what amendment are you going to go after then?”

One year from the Trolley Square shooting

I really mostly forgot about this but I really think it should be something to take about. It is the one-year anniversary of the shooting at Trolley Square here in Salt Lake City. This was a scary night. I remember watching the new flashes and thinking of the terror that someone there would be thinking and how I wished I were there to help.
This was a tragic event that no one thought would happen in our town, and there are some that are still feeling the affects. My heart goes out to the families that lost love ones, and a sense of pride goes to the offices that went in to face the evil that was happening.
My wife’s Aunt was working in a store in Trolley Square and missed the shooting by just a few hours. Way too close for comfort.
Now I get to get up on my soapbox. The shooter at Trolley Square (I refuse to use his name) was using a shotgun. Now the damage a shotgun can do is enormous. Pretty much anyone that was shoot was killed, very few wounded, but over all the total killed was less than what it should have been considering the weapon used and the amount of ammo the shooter had with him. Why, because of an armed citizen. Yes he was a police officer, but he was off duty and did not have to have his gun with him or really get involved (of course any good cop would have gotten involved). Now the officer was not the one that killed the shooter, that was the other responding officers, but he slowed the man down and in doing so saved lives.
There have been other examples recently were an armed citizens stopped if not killed a shooter in a public place, and if you really look at the recent shooting across the country you will notice that most are happening in gun free zones. Where if not banned then strongly discouraged.
So what is my rant, I have a cwp and carry a gun the majority of the time. Why, because I feel that you have to fight evil, not just run away, if you want to protect life.
Again, My heart is with the families that must still be feeling the pain of the shooting; you are not alone.

Movie Shoot Em Up

Well I finally saw shoot em up, and have to say it was totally under whelming, in fact it was upsetting. I wanted to see it because there were a lot of guns in the movie but it ended up being a slam against the 2 amendment and all gun owners.
The movie starts with the hero saving a pregnant woman from the gun-toting thugs. He does a good job fending the off with the 380. And even delivers the baby. Now I will not go into the fact that you will be hard pressed to get a one shot kill with a 380, not that it isn’t possible but very difficult and he shot about 4 time the number of bullets that gun will hold regardless of the three reloads he does but I digress, anyway the women doesn’t make it, they kill her off with a head shot but the way she was bleeding she wouldn’t have lived anyway. This just kind of shows the level of realism about guns in this movie.
The hero take the baby and tries to give it up but the killers don’t give him the chance, he has to rush in and save the baby.
As the story goes on it comes out that the guys trying to kill the baby are from a gun manufacturer and are trying to kill the baby that would be the marrow donor for the congressman they is ding and is stanch anti-gun guy.
The hero figures this out and goes toe the congressman only to find he’s in bed with the gun company, and will be changing his mind about gun control. This leads the hero to kill the congressman to give the anti-sun movement a poster child or martyr.
As the story progresses the guy leading the thugs is looking in to find out who the hero is, because no matter how many people he throws at him they can’t kill him. He digs up somewhere that the hero is some kind of special ops solder and was the son of a British gunsmith chased to the US by the Uks gun bans. He also uncovers that his wife and child were killed by the lunatic that shot up a McDonalds, also that the hero owned the gun store that sold the lunatic the shotguns used in the shooting. I thought it funny that is wasn’t until the last few scenes that you find out the hero was sloppy in the background check when he sold the gun and was prosecuted for it and is a fugitive because of that.
So we have a fugitive from justice that couldn’t even follow the laws that are already in place proving the point that the gun companies are evil.
What a load of crap.
The laws are in place to help prevent the lunatic from getting a gun legal and the hero didn’t follow them. Not saying that he desired to lose his wife and child, but then he runs and becomes a fugitive. This is your anti-gun poster boy. Not to mention that he very willing execute the congressman and many guards at the gun warehouse, who were doing their job and we legal where he was trespassing.
So this is the man so show that if guns were illegal that the violence would go a way.
I guess I shouldn’t have expected straight thinking from a movie where the hero is able to kill anyone he looks at by just sweeping the gun in that direction, while no one else could even shot sort of strait.If you get a chance to watch this movie, skip it and watch something else more interesting, like paint drying. Your intelligence would be less insulted.

Science Friday

I was listening to Science Friday on NPR tonight. The had an author on that wrote the book "Plan B” Ok I forgot the authors name, but it was basically the plan we should have to curb global warming and what we should do to accomplish that. The plan is the typical push for alternative energy, now I have to say here I am all for renewable recourses. I have a real difficult time with the US being dependant on foreign oil. This has caused us all sorts of problem and will continue to do so considering the oil comes from the unstable regions of the Middle East.
Most of his ideas were fairly typical global warming rant, you know we need to stop using our cars and we should use solar and wind power (at least he wasn’t advocating population control, at least not in this interview). What surprised me was the author was talking about how the market needed to drive this push towards using alternative energy. However his suggestion was to lower the income tax and make up the difference with a carbon tax. I don’t know about you but that is not having the market drive us towards alternative energy. It is more government program.
However this is what he is calling market driven. This is still government control, or the government knows best attitude.
I love how the global warming group is all for government clamping down. It fallows the liberal view that the government will save us all.
Now I believe there is a reason to control our emissions, and find a better way to fill our energy needs, but it shouldn't be done with a tax or government control.
He was right in one aspect; the market is the force that will ultimately make the country go green. It has more power than any government program to shape how people live.Just another global warming alarmist expecting the government to save him. I wonder what he is willing to give up to have the government to fix it for him. He probably thinks he doesn’t pay enough in taxes now.

Fair Game

So I was listening to NPR some time. There is a show called Fair Game. The promo states they blow up the news of the day and put it back together. They just left out that when they put the stories back together they only use the liberal talking points for their template.
Anyway, the host had John Bolton on tonight. After tonight I really like John. John has gone on record that the recent intelligence report about Iran giving up their nuclear program and has been a critical of Bush and his administration. That last point is I think why he was on the show. The host (I can remember her name o well) was trying to pin john down by saying this report doesn't fit your view you are just going to ignore the facts. I love John’s response; He asked her if she had read the report. Of course she hadn't, she just knew what had been said. John ripped into her about no knowing what Iran had really stopped doing, and that it really was only a small part of the program to create weapons. He then when a little more in to how this report was to effect policy and well we don't really know all the info as the majority is still classified. So in true liberal style because she wasn't getting the answer she wanted, she went to her bush bashing and how John had stated in an article about something he had said against Bush. I'd admit I wasn't listing has hard because I was getting out of the car but John wouldn't rise to the bait and the interview ended really abruptly after that. Not surprising, I'm just supposed that she aired it, probably to fill the quota of conservative time on the radio.
O well I just thought it was funny that she wanted to talk and force a point but because she had not read the report and was trying to use the headlines to prove a political point, or really just a point against Bush and his administration.O well she went on to her music section, which is really a better place for her to talk on.

Highway Patrol Memorials

Ok have to talk about this. There are memorials on the side of the road here for highway Patrolmen that have fallen in the line of duty. Normally this is a cross, although I have seen a Star of David on one. I have always thought these are according to the troopers’ religion. I feel this is right. The memorial should be to honor them and their family.
Well there is a group call Atheist of America that is suing the Highway Patrol to remove the cross from the memorials. They claim that the highway Patrol is promotion Christianity with the crosses.
This makes me so mad, and I feel this is a load of crap.
If seeing a cross is going to convert you to Christianity you are not strong in your belief anyway, and if a cross can convert someone then pulling the cross will convert someone to atheism. So why is it ok for you to force your religion on me (Yes I feel that atheism is religion, it is a way of belief. I will talk about this later)?
I am sick of people that look for things to be offend about, but really get put out if you get offend by them. Grow a backbone.
I feel that the memorials are for the families of the fallen Patrolman, their families and the other Officers. The rest can go to hell if they are offended.
Just my two cents.

Hollywood Writers Strike

Ok I just have a comment about the writers strike. They are saying on the news that this strike is going to affect everyone right down to the waiters in the dinners around Hollywood.
OK so they are saying that the people that make money will in Hollywood will spend and help all the little people.
That’s a good concept, but it needs to be applied to rich businesspeople as well. They will spend their money on the waiters and the workmen. They are the ones employ, but somehow this is never considered. It seams that if you’re a businessperson you are hoarding your money (of course given the situation in Washington it might be good to hoard and hide your money).
So why is there a different standard applied to Hollywood than there is applied to Wall Street?Just wondering?

Rocky is in the news again

Ok I was listening to the radio this morning, because I just can’t pass up a talk show. The big news is the strife between Rocky and a veteran group that is going on right now.
Apparently there was a part of the cemetery that was restored or repaired. There was a ceremony that was to take place tomorrow to rededicate it. This is how it has been reported in the paper. The thing is the veteran group is saying that if Rocky is giving a speech they will not come.
I was listening to Rocky give his side, and according to Rocky he was invited and in no way was trying to stir things up. As usually he is totally faultless and it is the other entire guys fault. He even when as far as to say that these people will just write a letter to an editor instead of talking to him,( funny because this is exactly what the leader of the Democratic party did when Ende Green didn’t heap praises on Berock Obama when he visited a select group in Park City) because of course then they would just see things his way and we could all sing kumbyya together. So he says because the problem the whole thing will be scraped. Just bail. Typical Rocky.
OK First I’m tired of hearing how every tine there is a problem that involves Rocky it the right-wingers or those guys fault. I guess those guys include every one that doesn’t fall in line and sing the praise of Rocky. I guess if we all just fallowed blindly behind Rocky we would all be OK, because blind following of the bush administration is bad.
Of course Rocky then went into his bash of the war, and I have to give to Rocky that he is learning and include the Clintons in his rant, after Doug brought the Clintons into it, but every thing that is going on in Iraq is Bushes fault and we should just bail, and they would figure it out after we left. He went off on the Clintons but I still think he would have left them out and the congress that voted for the war out if he could have.
We once he was on his Iraq rant there is no going back.
I can understand some of his points he believes passion about the war, I have a problem hat he has used his position as mayor to further this agents, he would not have gotten the platforms that he has if it weren’t for him being mayor, and it took being beating in a debate to even give the points like that congress that voted for the war should be held accountable as well.
I can see why the veterans would not want him at an event that was set up to honor them. He says that he supports the troops, but doesn’t explain how he does that; all he does is rip down the commander and say that they are an occupying force and should be there. They are doing their job. You can’t tell someone that they are doing an illegal job and say but I support you.Just a few more months and Rocky is gone. I’m counting the days to when he doesn’t have this platform to aduse.

Talk Radio

Ok I guess I will start with this. I am a talk radio junkie. I will listen to it more than any other radio. We have a talk show at night here that is for the next generation.
After tonight I don’t know how much I’m going to listen to them.
The host Michael was going on about Rush getting in trouble for his comments. Hannity was defending Rush, but Michael was upset about how someone could bad talk military. Funny I didn’t hear him bashing moveon.org for they ad against General Petraeus.
The show is starting to show it’s liberal side.
I stopped listing to them after the tazzing of the college. Michael was so upset that the student was taxed. He feels the taser should be used against a gun, but not against a student. He feels the student’s first amendment rights were stomped on.
The student was trying to make a scene and was given the chance to comply in a peaceful manner. I understand that the taser is to be used in this situation, but I’m not a cop a cop should be asked.
I only bring this up because he was so upset that people questioned the officer in the Mark Foley case, so much that he brought a cop in to verify that an arrest should have been made.
Ok I can respect this, but now that here is another situation that a cops action is being question he is not getting the cop back to get the cops side of a situation.
So he is picking and choosing what he gets upset about.
Of course I’m still listening. Michael is attacking Pres Bush vetoing the CHIP bill. Pres Bush. He tries so hard to not do the talking points but he eventually gets back to that. He calls for the Republicans to put carp to the side, but call doesn’t go to the Democrats.
To be fair Michael does do a good job of being in the middle, but he is still harder on the Republicans than he is on Democrats.
I missed the segment, I will have to log on and listen tomorrow to see how he handles it, but as he went off early I don’t expect him to be nice to Rush.
I’m Ok with him being rough on Rush, but then he needs to be rough on Moveon.org as well for doing the same thing. I’m not sure if this makes sense, but he is doing the same thing he complains about. I’m fair and balanced, so trust me.

Ok I have another blog but that is one for the family and the neutral persona.
I have wanted another blog for some time were I could be anonymous and a little more honest about some subjects.
Now I’m not going to post anything that is that bad maybe controversial, but mainly just things that should not to be posted with the other stories about my family.
I am a student, and live in Utah. I am concealed firearms permit holder, but I don’t carry all the time. I studied Kung Fu for four years but am out of practice.
I would hunt given the right opportunities but I have dislike for many of the redneck hunters out there. I will survive what is thrown at me and know how to use what is at hand to do so.
I love woodworking and auto mechanics. I’m studying to be a mechanical engineer. I believe that we need to be searching for other forms of energy, but don’t believe that we can sustain our way of live with just renewable source like wind or solar power. I believe nuclear power is a big part of that equation. I don’t think that we need to go backward in time as to our standard of living to be able to save the plant. We do need to conserve and be wise in how we use our resources, but this doesn’t mean that living in a cave is how we should be.
I’m sure more will come out.I really don’t think that many if any will read this but it will make me fell better to get it out.
